Raised in Padua, I currently live in Venice where I work from remote as a Senior Designer in Fjord Milan; a global service design consultancy, pioneer of service design since the 2001.
Over the years I have studied the issues of accessibility and cognitive ability, which is why I always pay close attention to how users interpret a layout and I always try to design products that are effective not only visually, but also in terms of usability. I like to design solutions methodically, following iterative processes that include research and exploration even when designing the user interface and visual design.
We often joke about the (somewhat stereotyped) struggle between designer and developer. About how much we designers are committed to taking care of the details that very frequently are not respected in the development phase. Well, in the past I worked as a UI Developer, also taking care of the frontend development with particular focus on animations and interactions, so I also experienced the other side of a project and so what may be the difficulties and aspects to take care of for an easy development. Reason why, when I moved totally into design, I typically did interview sessions to get feedback from the developers who were working on the project I had curated, receive feedback and criticisms that would help me refine and improve that part of development necessary for the project to be respected as it was designed. This is undoubtedly one of the most appreciated aspects that distinguishes me from other designers.
